Studio 1.2 Homework

Studio 1.2 Homework
Ideate, Understand

In order to have a better idea of what sculptures will work better for my brochure i brainstormed multiple different matrixes with many of the wellington sculptures which i felt are both considered as art and also fit into my elemental point of difference. This helped me to see which sculptures emote more emotive qualities and adjectives which will help to inform my imagery. This ultimately has helped me to narrow down my list of possible sculptures and help me focus on gathering imagery on these which will lead to a finalisation of 3 sculptures.
I also did some research on the sculptures in order to see how other people reacted to these sculptures or the artists feelings which helped to further inform emotive qualities and adjectives which i may not have considered and helps to connect to a wider array of audiences.
This leads to me to start further researching, sourcing imagery and written contain for these narrowed down sculptures  so i can head towards synthesize my material in the next studio.

- Video on the Wind sculptures in evans bay which give insight into their construction and creators feelings towards the pieces, inspiration and intentions. This leads me to consider focusing on this area in my extra pages of my brochure as a good place to witness and experience multiple pieces of wellington art which embody wellingtons most predominant element, the wind.
