16.3.15 Class 4.1 and Homework
Critique, making
This class we got feed back on our spreads which we created over the past week. In choosing which of my spreads was the most successful, whether or not more seperated pages in terms of imagery or more intergrated throughout had to be contemplated. In the end it was decided that i should go for the more integrated approach and work on solidifying and refining that spread.
Critique of this spread included:
-Making the title larger and create a hierachy between my sub headings
-Make my map more integrated with my imagery instead of it looking blocky and out of place,
-Make my infographics all in the same vector style to unify the use of style not of complicate and confuse things
-Use words in order to describe the infographics so my reader is not confused or misinterprets their meaning
-Experiment with a hierachy of imagery (including infographics) in order to create a more legible and cohesive piece.
So in response to this i create smoother vectors for each infograph to help unity, legibility and because the old ones were a bit messy looking on closer inspection. I also editted and improved spreads in accordance to the feedback i recieve. As the plan is to create a solid and successful spread for the bucket fountain and then once accomplished i will apply the successes and create a cohesive set with the other sculptures.
Below are the fixed icons and the final spread i came up with for feedback for tomorrow:
